If you have been delighted with the look and performance of McLaren P1, prepare yourself for a description of its improved successor, McLaren P1 GTR.
There is a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine from "P1" model under the hood, which was additionally perfected to produce amazing 986 HP.
The biggest improvement has been made in the car's aerodynamics which, in the words of the company, is ready for "more extreme performance."
Front of the car is wider and has a larger splitter in the GT style. Engine and brake cooling is improved, while the height of the car is additionally lowered. Mirrors have been moved to the A-pillar to further minimize air resistance, and there are special 19-inch wheels.
Active aerodynamics can be seen on the rear, where is the spoiler that uses a hydraulic system to reduce resistance.
The name itself is a reference to "F1 GTR", a GT version of McLaren's original hyper-car that won Le Mans in 1995.
The price of this racing supercar is $3.36 million. McLaren is yet to reveal performance figures, but the GTR will trump the road-going P1's 0-62mph of 2.8 seconds. Although not officially confirmed, it is believed that maximum of 30 copies is going to be produced.
