How much water you have to drink?
Well this question might seem easy, but still you are probably one of many that haven’t responded correctly.
Drinking enough water is very important. Many people think that coffee or soda can substitute it. It’s about intake of liquid not water. Well this is not correct. And with coffee or soda you take a lot of caffeine and sugar. That’s not healthy.
So how much water should you drink? Recommended 8 glasses per day. But this number can vary.
Listen to your body!
The amount of water you need depends on many things. First of all it depends on the amount of physical activity. Second it depends also a lot from the climate you are living in.
Thirst! That is what you should be listening. When you’re thirsty it means you need to take a glass of water. When your body loses about one or two percent of total water content it will signal you by feeling thirsty to take water.
Pretty simple!
Listen to your urine! This might sound odd. Here’s the catch – if your urine is darker than usual it means your kidneys retain fluid to maintain normal body function.
If you’re dehydrated you will urinate less often.
So conclusion: Drink water!
What kind of water is the best for drinking?
Bottled water? Well that is not the best option. This one contains a lot of industrial chemicals like bisphenol A and S, phthalates and these are bad. Also the plastic of the bottle is not the best option. These bisphenols are known as estrogen mimicking chemicals and are linked to reproductive defects, learning and behavioral problems, immune dysfunction and prostate and breast cancer. Phthalates are endocrine disruptors and are linked to a lot of developmental and reproductive effects and liver cancer too.
So bottled water? No!
Water filtration system? Well this one could be a good solution. Since you probably cannot get your own natural spring this is the most alike.
A good filtration system clears out all the contaminants like chemicals, heavy metals, endocrine disrupting chemicals, fluoride.
One simple thing you can always do is to add a little bit of lemon or lime, or orange. This is a great booster of the immune system, it cleanses the liver and improves your skin.
So, instead of watching TV today, drink some water! Make your own filtration system! Be healthier!
