A Yoga State of Mind
Something else you can do to lose weight is to practice yoga. Studies have shown that women who stick to a yoga routine tend to add less weight than those that do not. The Journal of the American Dietetic Association reported that those who engaged in yoga were able to “be in the moment”, particularly during mealtimes.
Self-awareness in Yoga Prevents Oveating
As an example, yoga practitioners would eat only what they needed to be full while eating restaurants. The control group would complete their entire meal even if they had to stuff themselves to consume heavy portions. In this way, researchers feel that the self-awareness that stems from a yoga routine can be applicable in preventing overeating.
