Well, nobody is really going to tell you this. But here’s something to help you a little bit.
So you decide to avoid GMO. Okay, good for you! But how you’ll know that’s not a GMO? Who guaranties you it’s not?
You’ve got to pay attention to some tricks how to know what’s GMO and what’s not.
Then comes the PLN – Product Lookup Number.
If it’s with four numbers starting with 3 or 4 it’s not GMO, but it has been grown on a farm that uses pesticides.
If it’s a 5 number starting with 9 that means it’s an organic product, grown with no chemicals, pesticides nor any other genetical modifications.
BUT – if it’s a 5 number starting with 8 IT IS GMO!
So start reading what’s written on the package. Some people say they haven’t found the PLN. Maybe some products don’t have it, but if you find it, what costs you to read it?
There are also some things that have less chances to be genetically modified – they are simply less modified in practice. That are – onion, ananas, avocado, green beans, mango, kiwi, grapefruit, watermelons, mushrooms…
And some other are the most often being GMO – apples, paprika, peaches, strawberries, spinach, cucumbers, blueberry, potato, oranges, corn…
But a man gotta eat you know? We cannot make it without food! So good luck choosing what you eat!
