Would you want to travel for free? To just hit the road whenever you want without paying a penny for it? It is already possible in America and in one more year, things will reach perfection.

Tesla Motors has launched a program of charging the electric cars that are sold in the US. The owners of these vehicles can be recharge their batteries for free and can travel through the entire countries without paying a penny for it.

The clients of this company will have 71 recharge stations that will be placed from East to West. So far, two Americans have tested this system and managed to go accross USA completely for free. John Glenney (62 years old) started the trip with his daughter Jill (26 years old) and they relied exclusively on the free-charge system offered by Tesla manufactures.

Nowadays, the stations are placed along the road going from New York to Los Angeles, road that usually takes around 60 hours. The two used 28 electric stations during their trip. Tesla plans that by 2015, 98% of the country to be covered in recharge stations.

Electric cars have dominated the transportation system way before the cars with internal combustion. Actually, from the invention of the electric cars in 1820 till the Otto engine over 40 years have passed and it was only in the year 1900 the cars with internal combustion started to gain popularity.

At the middle of the last century, the electric cars have disappeared almost entirely from the road and except for urban buses and factory machines, there were not many of their kind left. Starting from the fact that the electric box has better capacity, works without aging and doesn’t pollute, they should represent the perfect solution for transportation.
