Does anyone here know what Pong game is? Does anyone remember?
It’s a home game. A family game long before all the “posh” of computers.
This game showed up in 1972 and made crazy about millions of gamers around the globe. It had a simple 2D graphics that today we would get insulted if somebody says that’s graphics but back then it was the latest. The goal of the game was to put the small “ball” behind the other players “graphic representation” to be precise.
It’s interesting that the Pong wasn’t made for gaming. It was made by Allan Alcorn for the employees.
Although it was made as an arcade game, 1974 it appeared as a home, family game.
It had a big pandan that was quite popular back then in Yugoslavia – Tandy TV Scoreboard.
The Pong console you could get for only 60$ in US. And it was an opening for the games that we know today.
It could work on electricity or on battery power. 6 batteries! And there was this switch to turn your TV into the gaming mode.
You can play Pong today also. But on the Internet. Try it! Back then people also knew how to have fun!
Quite quite right?
