Probably in some moment you stop playing it, but you’ll come back to it anytime. And it’s fun. It’s easy and it’s fun. The guy that invented it was quite a clever guy right?

That clever man is Aleksey Pazitnov. The Russian father of Tetris made it in 1984. First it was played only on the East side of the globe, but in 1996 it got all around the globe.

And it’s everything so simple but yet so symbolic in Tetris. The name first! Tetra – the tiny cubes in the shapes. And “IS” from Tennis – the creators favourite sport.
And then the music! You know how it goes?
Well it’s just the music. It’s a Russian national song – Korobeiniki.
Tetris got on the top of it’s fame in 1996. That’s the moment that Pazitnov got to America and founded “The Tetris Company”. He probably earned about 800 millions on this game.

And the consoles those easy to use, handy and with monochromatic picture – that’s the thing that made it so popular also.
