As the trend of capitalization of legal marijuana in the US is slowly increasing, one Canadian university decided to conduct an uncommon research in order to cope with a new economic problem.
At the beginning of next fall, students at the Kwantlen Polytechnic University in British Columbia may apply for the courses dedicated to the cultivation, marketing and sale of marijuana, reports RT.
14-week Courses will be conducted through the Internet, and will consist of two main parts - one focused on growing the product and the other on the transportation and sale.
Students will learn how to produce high-quality marijuana using multiple techniques of cultivation. Education will also include the biological understanding of plants, its life cycle, as well as seeding and fertilizing period.
In addition, classes will be devoted to the law and regulations, as well as real possibilities for opening a licensed company for growing marijuana.
Legality of marijuana in Canada is currently limited to use in purely medicinal purposes. The country has 25 companies for cultivation, of which 13 are stationed in Ontario.
